I don’t believe a letter was sent last year either, I could be wrong though, but I don’t think that bothers most applicants/recipients. The team is determined from those that actually apply for it, so if an applicant was really concerned or curious, they could simply log into THIS website and look. Anyone with a computer can click on this website and read the news. It takes only minutes. I DO commend the person that had been sending out the letters, donating their time and effort for the WTA. Very commendable. Thank you.

Thanks to you and Amy and the entire BOD and the numerous volunteers that have given countless hours of their life to help the WTA, I think we will.April 27, 2016 at 5:48 pm in reply to: Can you tell me were SW Wisconsin trap club is please .. #1432
James, It is just South of the town of Potosi in Grant county. The very Southwest corner of the state. They hosted their first two registered shoots last year with much excitement. Two more are scheduled this year. Lime green White Flyer targets are thrown into a dark green background.
An overhead view of the facility is available on Google maps, Satellite view. The two side by side traps face Northwest. Targets never leave the dark green background, if that is the view you like.
The town is also host to the Potosi Brewing Company established in 1852, and adjacent restaurant and pub. As well as the National Brewery Museum. Museum admission fee, $5.00.

I did that yesterday.
Why also? Many were around during the previous trap shuffle years. It became such a headache for all involved that it was ceased and a pre-squading program with “first come first served” implemented instead. 50 and 50 were then shot on adjacent traps. The “shuffle” complaining and commotion stopped.
I don’t know about 2015, but in the 2014 State Shoot, the HAA champion shot the West end, the HOA champion shot the East end, if I remember correctly.
A higher number of shooters prefer the East end, resulting in slightly longer finish times for events, but was it longer than acceptable? I didn’t hear of it if so. That’s why reading this is a complete surprise. But there are many elements of conducting the State Shoot that I wouldn’t know about.
No doubt the decision to shuffle was made for good reasons, but I hope that decision solves more headaches than what it may create.
I believe pre-squading will be available again, so let the shooters squad where they want to shoot, as they did the first 3 years. Don’t make them shoot where they do not want to shoot. Keep building on the successes of the last 2 years as a category 5 competition factor.
Submitted with the utmost of respect for the present and past Board Members, and all of the participants.
If I could thank this topic 5 times, I would.

Army Mike, please change the Registered Shoots link from 2015, to 2016.
Off topic question. I there a modify/edit option available for use on existing posts?
I don’t see a link.
I’ll 3rd that sentiment.
Glad to see this.
