On Saturday June 24th, The WI Scholastic Clay Target Program will hold their State Championship Shoot at the Homegrounds. Registration opened yesterday and in the first 4 hours 932 athletes signed upped to compete.
Every year the hoot gets bigger and bigger. The goal is to get the number up 1200 and after such a great start, I have no doubt that goal can be reached.
This got me thinking, but I haven’t been able to come up with an answer. What is the SCTP doing to get all the participation and what can registered shooting learn from it to grow their events. We have competitions every weekend just about we can attend. We have great numbers. The conference I over see that has 9 teams in SE WI will have 404 athletes competing in their conference championship. Great numbers but how does registered shooting achieve the same growth again ?
