    I just hung up the phone from one of the school board members that I have been working with for the help for the shoots this year. As we were wrapping up he had mentioned to me that one of the sophomores that worked last year scoring for us had gone in to cardiac arrest and passed away.

    i will get the name and information so if you would like to send something you surely can please share this. We never know the day nor the hour. Her family is in our prayers for peace

    Brandy Lea Heinen, age 15, of Nekoosa, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. Rev. William Menzel will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at ritchayfuneralhome.com. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa is assisting the family.

    Brandy was born July 5, 2000 in Wisconsin Rapids to Rusty and Brenda (Olson) Heinen. She was a sophomore at Nekoosa High School. Brandy was on Varsity volleyball, basketball and JV track. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Youth Group. Brandy was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. She was an A student and an excellent athlete.

    She is survived by her mother, Brenda Heinen and her father, Rusty Heinen, both of Nekoosa and her sister, Breanna Heinen of Appleton and her special friend Aaron Henke; her maternal grandfather, Floyd Olson of Princeton, MN; her uncle, Brian Olson; her uncle, Frank Olson; paternal grandmother, Carol Heinen of Nekoosa; her aunt, Monica (Gerard) Ritze; her uncle, Kurt Heinen, and her aunt, Stephanie Heinen.

    Brandy was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Colleen Olson, paternal grandfather, Byrl Lee Heinen, paternal great-grandparents, Joe and Irene Zouski, and Dorothy and Edward Heinen; and maternal great-grandparents, Gerald and Edna Sager, and Herbert and Verna Olson.
