URGENT!
We desperately need help here at your Homegrounds. Below is a list of things you can assist with. If able to help, please contact Amy Jenkins at asjenks13@gmail.com and let her know what days you could make it, or call Fritz Thistle, 608 370-1118 or the Ottos, 262-363-1303 (here Thurs. through Sunday.) Thanks!
Power Wash & Stain Traphouse Roofs – anyone out there with a commercial power wash with huge capacity of water tank? The tops are flaking off and should be stained again in the very near future.
Picnic Tables – approximately 130 should be treated.
Erosion Around Electrical Posts In Driveway – black cloth needs to be laid down, gravel on top and stone over that. These are in really BAD shape. Now completed
Cut Down – several dead trees and haul away.
Cut Down – 3 trees for flag poles & set up.
Mow – high grass beyond traps.
WEEKLY – cut grass in front of traphouses to parking area, along the driveway and the entire camping area or as needed depending on rain, clean shower house and change road sign for up-coming events.
6/4 & 5 SCTP Int’l State Championships – approximately 36 kids coming
6/11, approx. 36 kids (Dick & Arlene will not be there that weekend to help)
6/25-26 approx. 1200 to 1400 kids (26th also a registered shoot)

PREPARATION FOR EVERY SHOOT – 1 to 2 days prior

Clean out building, clean chairs & tables
Get score sheets from WTA trailer to building
Check scorer’s boxes for supplies
Set up umbrellas on scorers stands
Put black 55 gal. bags inside each trash can under shelter (2 @ each), in building & near food vendors

In traphouses, breakup & consolidate all cardboard & haul to dumpsters, clean out, re-fill turrets.
Trash cans – consolidate all trash & haul to dumpsters. Empty trash cans get placed inside gun racks.
Pick up litter on grounds.
Clean up building.
There will be 10 Nekoosa kids to load targets on Friday, June 10th for the High School shoot. I will be there on Thursday night or Friday morning for the weekend. There will be 5 people from the HS League coming in the afternoon to look at the location, go over the scoring system, drop off trophies, t-shirts, etc. for the shoot on Saturday. Will Fritz be there, if not, I will need to know where keys are to the Hoop Building and the trailers. John, you state 36 kids there for this weekend, if that is shooters, that number must be an error because there will probably be like 600-700 kids plus families.
There will be 10 Nekoosa kids to load traps on Friday, June 24th for the SCTP shoot.
Nekoosa kids will also be there on the afternoon of July 11th to load houses; and Monday, July 18th to clean up AFTER the state shoot.
I think we will be there the weekend of June 3-5 and I can paint the picnic tables that weekend if they aren’t done; as well as prep for the shoot.
Anyone that needs to contact me can also reach me at 608/547-5453.
Thanks
I have to apologize as I am one that hasn’t been there this year to help out. I think it is amazing that out of 1500 members you can’t get people to cut grass and paint trap houses. Unfortunately I have had another heart attack this past week. So I will be very limited in what I can do for awhile. In a few weeks Melinda and I will try to come up and do some of the trap houses. My power washer will only go as far as we can get hoses to. And I will bring some more hoses.
Amy wasn’t the weekend John was talking about one of the bunker weekends. That is all that they can get through in a weekend.
For the weekend of June 4 and 5. Our sheet from the last meeting says that we are using 28 traps and we have 60 Nekoosa kids coming. Dewey was supposed to talk to Perry today with SCTP to find out. If it is 36 kids and bunker trap only, we won’t need 60 Nekoosa kids for that and then someone will need to talk to Coach Brian to let him know SOON.
I believe there is some confusion…
May 28-29 USAS JO Qualifier (30 athletes on bunker) no help needed.
June 4-5 WI SCTP State International Trap Championships (36 athletes on bunker) no help needed.
June 11 WI State High School Clay Target League (I can’s speak details, but 600-700 I THINK??)
June 25-26 WI SCTP State Championship Weekend.
Saturday: 1200 athletes Saturday, 28 traps 8:30 to 5:30 pm. Scorer/Puller and loaders needed.
Sunday: approx 18 traps for Doubles, Handicap and Mixed tTeam event. (leaving 10 traps for registered shoot.) Scorer/Puller and loaders needed.
