    HOME GROUNDS UPDATE!!  –  May 1, 2016

    IT’S DONE!    IT’S DONE!    IT’S DONE!

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning, Bruce & Don Wagner, Pistol Pete (not even a WTA member!), Pat Taylor, Jeff & Billy Recob and Tom Jenson began lifting, hauling, placing, sanding, sweeping those 100 pound tiles!  What a crew this huge endeavor has seen.  Working from morning ‘til night is not just a saying.  7 a.m. steady until 6:30 p.m.  Ten minutes later the rains came down.  They completed to within the length of a trapfield.  Sunday morning they were out there again, finishing that long, beautiful cart path.  Wow – it’s done.  THANK YOU!

This coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday is the first of the registered shoots at the Homegrounds.  We’re hoping for warm and sunny weather and lots of shooters.  All the summer shoots are the same – 100 singles, 100 handicaps and 100 doubles.  Pistol Pete will be there with his food vending.  Buy a burger and give him a personal thank you for helping with the cart path.  Come and get in your targets, and check out that great cart path!  See you there.

Denny is doing well – we miss him!  Shooting is open from 12 – 5pm Weds. through Friday.  Saturday and Sunday from 9-5.

There were three others that helped last weekend, Arlene Otto set spacers, Fritz Thistle lugged pavers, Glen Carlson did the skidder work and is completing the grading this week if possible.

A big time thank you to ALL that helped.  It is just a shame that it is always the same few that do all the volunteering.
