Reports

Meeting: The teleconference meeting for April 28, 2014 was postponed till May 5, 2014.

Jeff Ebel of Ebel Consulting: He talked about the By Laws of the Homegrounds and how we can change some of the details in it to protect everyone’s assets. Getting everything approved by both the Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of the Homegrounds is important to keep this project moving forward. Jeff was going to set up a teleconference meeting with Amy Westner and was going to invite Bruce and Richard Johnson to get things ironed out with the by-laws. They are hoping to get things worked out so everyone is comfortable with the By Laws. They will also be talking about the easements between the WTA property and Homegrounds property.

Bruce: Bruce started out with the update for the Homegrounds. Things are moving along now that the weather is cooperating. Bunker traps will be going in on Tuesday. Gravel pads for the camp sites are being worked on and the roads between campsites are getting done. They are working on the showers so they will be ready for the state shoot. Preparation has started for the seeding of vendor row, irrigation pipes are going in along the trap lines, and trap machines are all paid for. They will be coming soon. On May 17 and 18 they will start to disc so that the rye can be planted. We are hoping to have Wi-Fi up and running for the state shoot. The building we were hoping to have put up before the state shoot may not get done. We may have to use pods again this year . It is nice to see the progress on the Homegrounds moving forward. You are welcome to come out and see what is being done. The location of the banquet is still not decided. We have a few good ideas of where, although we are just waiting on conformation.

A WORK DAY FOR THE HOMEGROUNDS WILL BE ON JUNE 14TH AND 15TH EVERYONE IS WELCOME AND NEEDED. THERE IS A LOT TO DO.

Around the Table

Don: Golf carts are ordered and will be here by July 1, 2014 because it was cheaper to rent by the month. If you want to rent a golf cart you will need to let Bill Simonar know soon.

Adam: Adam said that the training video is half way done. It is turning out great and should be ready so that we can train the workers on the weekend of the 7th and 8th. Bruce and Bill will hopefully be able to help with the training on that weekend so the students will be ready for the state shoot.

Rick: Rick announced that the ATA has bought Trap and Field Magazine. He also mentioned that the pre-squadding is up and running for all those shooters who like to get their shooting spots reserved.

Dave: Dave mentioned that the printing of the state programs will be done soon and that they will then get sent out as soon as possible. We are hoping to get all information posted soon.

Glenn: Beer license is applied for so we should have it by the state shoot. He has a few vendor checks for Eric and will send them.

Kevin: He has gotten a few calls from shooters about ATA Target numbers not adding up to what they think. Rick said if you have any questions about this you can contact the ATA and they will be able to help.

Bill: Bill mentioned that the campsites are getting filled so if you are interested in reserving a campsite for the state shoot to contact him and he will hopefully have a site for you. There will be some sites on vendor row also open for campers.

Theresa: I have sent out all the letters for the All State Team. I am waiting now for them to answer the letter with a short paragraph of their accomplishments for the year so that I can add it to the Annual Meeting Program. I have talked to the cashiers from last year and they all agreed to work again this year. It should be a good crew. Bruce asked me to email Jay Adams to inquire as to how many score sheets we have for the state shoot.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:36 pm.

Next meeting: The next Teleconference meeting will be on June 2, 2014.
