Go/No Go
Per minutes of May 13, 2013 WTA Board Meeting, a blog was placed on the WTA Website calling for shooters to state their preference of the 2013 State Shoot by May 24 if finances did not become available by May 24. A total of 68 responses were received by the directors. Some were duplicated to more than one director. The greater percentage was for a telephonic, next, no 2013 State Shoot, 2 were for out of State.

A 2/3 quorum vote was needed to move forward with the Summit Credit Union Loan and the Go/No Go for this year’s State Shoot.

After calling missing Board members, Bill Simonar joined the teleconference meeting, making it a quorum. Don Mittag, Dennis Taylor, Ken Cerney, Glenn Hamerly, Bill Simonar, Bruce Stiteley. A motion was made by Dennis Taylor to approve borrowing $200,000.00 from the Summit Credit Union at 4.5% interest for a 5 year term, 25 year amortization. Glenn Hamerly seconded the motion. Questions: will there be an early penalty. Answer was no. Vote taken, all were in favor, none opposing.

A meeting with the contractors will take place on Thursday.

With the financials coming into place, Don Mittag made a motion that the 2013 Wisconsin State Shoot be held in Rome, WI., on the Homegrounds. Ken Cerney seconded the motion. All were in favor, none opposing. “Wisconsin is open for business”!

There will be a teleconference meeting Tuesday, May 21 to develop a Term Sheet to be presented to the Town of Rome Town Board. Dennis Taylor, Jessica Fandrich, Jeff Ebel, Don Mittag, Bruce Stiteley, and Arlene Otto attending.

A letter confirming the State Shoot at the Homegrounds will be sent to all camping and vendors.

Trap houses will be placed in the first week of June. Much help is needed. Also workers are needed for cleanup. Anyone willing to help is welcome.

Short term construction liability insurance was discussed. Don will continue to pursue this.

Ken asked if the Managers position was being held open. The answer was yes.

Dennis reminded everyone of the Assembly Hearing on Wednesday, May 22 on the Range Protection Act.

Bruce reported the NE Zone will not have a director present to conduct the nomination of a new director. Rick Tesker will be asked to conduct the voting if he will be present. If unable to do so, someone will be appointed. The second director, Gary Strasser, is up for re-election and therefore cannot conduct the voting. If Gary Strasser will not be there, and if he wants to be re-elected for the office, he must send a letter (via regular mail or e-mail) to Bruce Stiteley stating his wanting to run for office, this letter to be posted at the Zone Shoot.

Dwight, Glen and Don reported on the number of borrowed trap machines available for our use at the State Shoot. Several more are needed. Don will post our needs on the website blog.

Bill reported at this time he has 1 camping space and 2 vendor spots available.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.

Respectfully submitted
Arlene Otto, Sec./Treas.
